HRA worked on 10 exciting new contemporary cliff top homes located on the dramatic North Cornwall Coast for a local property developer. HRA have optimised the unique elevated position by linking ten new dwellings, creating a terrace which sweeps across and up the small site in a wave like arrangement and giving each building its own unique character and plot shape. Set over three to four storeys each house has a generous roof terrace with expansive sea views. Low maintenance materials such as zinc, natural stone and acetylated timber have been incorporated into the design which create a harmony between this modern scheme and the local vernacular.

It is intended that these contemporary townhouses will be sustainably developed using low energy design principals, greatly surpassing the building regulation standards. These ‘hi-tech’ eco dwellings will also include fully integrated communication, media and heating systems with the occupants able to ‘wirelessly’ control and monitor the buildings from just about anywhere.
