Ann Ross Architect

BSc (Hons) BArch RIBA

Ann studied architecture at Bath University, qualifying in 1980. Having gained experience in design and build and private practice she established Hetreed Ross Architects with Jonathan in 2001, with the aim to create buildings which enhanced their settings both aesthetically and environmentally.

Projects have included many residential schemes including the award winning Bridge Lock Mews, together with community and commercial projects; other recently completed award winning buildings are Fairfield Farm College (LABC National Award 2013 for a Community Building) and Anthony Best Dynamics (LABC West of England Award 2014 for a Small Commercial Building).

Ann brings her extensive experience to each project, giving future clients the confidence that their scheme will be investigated from all angles – inspirational design, added value and comfort. Her pragmatic approach to the design and construction process aims to combine the contemporary with historic and she believes that good communication skills with all the team are fundamental to achieving successful designs for our domestic and commercial clients. Ann also offers career guidance to potential architecture students and has given talks to local interest groups.

Ann and Jonathan are co-authors of the best-selling The Architect’s Pocket Book, now in its 5th edition, which brings together a wealth of useful information that architects need on a daily basis, an essential source of information for anyone, from architecture students, to construction professionals.
