We were commissioned to explore designs for a listed building in Wiltshire Green Belt. The house has been substantially altered over time with some poorer quality additions. The task was to increase the family living accommodation with a carefully proportioned contemporary barn accessed from the original house via a glazed link and to restore the original property it to its original state, remedying poor quality work and joinery whilst making a family home suitable for modern living. The expansive views from the property were to be maximised in the new accommodation where large areas of glazing would be possible. The landscaping has been altered to provide good off road access to a sunken driveway set below eye level so as not to impede the views.
